Even after surpassing the 10 million viewer mark, the film continues to draw steady audiences and is breaking long-term box office records.

According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network on the 13th, “The Martian” took the No. 1 spot at the box office on Saturday, the 12th, drawing 191,119 viewers. Its cumulative audience count has risen to 10,617,613.
Considering that the film has entered its sixth week since release, this is an exceptional display of sustained box office success. Given the current growth in viewership, it is projected to surpass “The Roundup 3” sometime today (the 13th) and climb to 30th place on the all-time domestic box office chart.
Breaking the 10-million mark is not the end but rather the starting point of a new race for records.
