[Edaily Kim Hyun-ah Reporter] KTCorporation(030200)(CEO Park Yoon-young) has partnered with a global semiconductor company to stabilize the supply chain for media device chipsets. The company also supports its partners in opening up export markets at overseas trade shows.

KTCorporation announced on the 13th that it had signed a business agreement with global fabless company AMlogic at IBC 2026—the world’s largest media-focused trade show held at the RAI in Amsterdam, Netherlands, from the 11th to the 14th—to establish a stable supply system for core chipsets for media devices.

AMlogic is a fabless semiconductor company headquartered in Mountain View, California, U.S. It has collaborated with KTCorporation in the media sector, including the development of the world’s first 8K Android TV set-top box.

Through this agreement, the two companies have agreed to ensure a stable supply of core chipsets required for KTCorporation’s media devices and to jointly explore ways to streamline supply chain operations. KTCorporation plans to secure a stable operational foundation for its media services while addressing risks associated with the global semiconductor supply chain.

Going forward, the two companies will continue their technical collaboration not only for the supply of system-on-chip (SoC) solutions but also to enhance the AI capabilities and services of media devices.

To support its partners’ entry into overseas markets, KTCorporation is also operating the “KT Global Win-Win Growth Pavilion,” a joint exhibition hall with eight companies, at IBC 2026.

Participating companies include Marcis, Ohsung Electronics, Enerzai, Castis, Lunar, Filer, Stillcut, and XL8AI.

These companies will showcase products ranging from 8K Android TV set-top boxes and voice-recognition remotes to on-device Agent AI, OTT and FAST platforms, AI video editing, media content analysis, deepfake detection, and AI subtitling solutions.

Through the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ “Support Program for Joint Market Entry by Large and Small/Medium-Sized Enterprises,” KTCorporation has set up a joint exhibition booth with the Ministry and the Foundation for Cooperation between Large Enterprises, SMEs, and the Agricultural and Fishery Sectors. The KOTRA Amsterdam Trade Office will also provide on-site support for identifying potential buyers and facilitating business matchmaking.

Following IBC, KTCorporation will also participate in ECOC 2026, a fiber optics exhibition taking place in Spain from September 21 to 23, alongside five partner companies.

KTCorporation announced that last year, it participated jointly with 18 partner companies in three overseas exhibitions—IBC, MWC, and ECOC—and secured export contracts worth over 180 billion won.

Kwon Hye-jin, Executive Vice President and Head of KTCorporation’s SCM Division, stated, “Through collaboration with global chipset manufacturers, we will secure competitiveness in the media device chipset supply chain and support the stable operations of our partner companies.” She added, “We will continue to develop a public-private partnership model that enables large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises to jointly enter and grow in overseas markets.”
