[Edaily Starin YUN GI BACK Reporter] A friend who was thought to be dead appeared before them after nine years. The severed bond between Song Kang and Lee Jun-young in “Four Hands” has been rekindled, taking the story into a new phase.

In Episode 6 of tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Four Hands,” which aired on the 13th, Kang Bi-o (played by Song Kang) was shown reuniting with Choi Jeong-yo (played by Lee Jun-young), who had disappeared nine years ago during an international competition.
Although Kang Bi-o has since grown into a pianist who consistently sells out concerts, he has been unable to fully move past Choi Jeong-yo’s disappearance. As they had been fierce rivals at the time, suspicions surrounding Jeong-yo’s disappearance never ceased, and Kang Bi-o, along with his overseas associate Vogel (played by Go Chang-seok), had been tracking Jeong-yo’s whereabouts for nine years.
Then, a man claiming to have kidnapped Jeong-yo appeared, and it seemed the case was finally unraveling. He asserted that he had kidnapped Jeong-yo at the time and later killed him. Kang Bi-o went to see him again to learn the full truth, but when the man was suddenly murdered, the investigation hit another dead end.
Eventually, Kang Biao tried to accept that Jeong Yo was dead, but that was when his emotional aftermath began. He would see visions of Jeong Yo during performances and be unable to continue playing; even sitting at the piano became difficult, plunging him into the worst slump of his career as a pianist.
Following advice that he needed to properly mourn, Kang Biao traveled to the Czech Republic, where he and Jeong Yo had once competed in a piano competition. There, at a conducting competition he happened to stumble upon, he heard the familiar melody of “Danse Macabre.”
The conductor on stage was none other than Choi Jeong-yo. Not only had his friend, whom he believed to be dead, returned alive after nine years, but she had appeared not as the pianist he once played with, but holding a baton.
This scene marked the revival of the central mystery of “Four Hands.” Where Choi Jeong-yo had been for the past nine years, why he left the piano to become a conductor, and how his relationship with Kang Bi-o will change are expected to be central to the show’s future plot.
The viewership ratings for Episode 6 set a new series high, with a nationwide average of 7.3% and a peak of 7.9%. In the Seoul metropolitan area, it recorded an average of 7.4% and a peak of 8.0%.
