SOS LAB Co., Ltd. was selected as an Outstanding Company in the Innovation category at the “2026 World Smart City Expo (WSCE 2026),” held at BEXCO in Busan.

At the expo, SOS LAB Co., Ltd. showcased its LiDAR-based smart parking guidance solution, “LPGS SPOT,” and its real-time congestion monitoring solution, “LCAS QMAP.” Among these, LCAS QMAP was selected as a winner in the Innovation category in recognition of its technological innovation and practical applicability in the smart city sector.

LCAS QMAP is a spatial intelligence solution that uses multiple LiDAR sensors to analyze the locations and movement patterns of facility visitors in real time. Through AI-based spatial analysis, it can assess congestion levels, queue sizes, and estimated wait times within a facility.

It also differs from existing video-centric CCTV systems in terms of privacy protection. The company explains that by analyzing spatial patterns and human movement without images that could identify individuals, it can simultaneously ensure privacy protection and deliver precise spatial analysis.

LCAS QMAP is currently being deployed at Gimhae International Airport to analyze passenger flow and congestion levels and support airport operations. In the airport environment, it achieved a queue counting accuracy of 99.44% and demonstrated operational efficiency by reducing average waiting times at the departure hall by approximately 42%.

Building on this award, SOS LAB Co., Ltd. plans to expand the application of LCAS QMAP to airports and other high-traffic facilities.

Lee Yong-i, Executive Director of SOS LAB Co., Ltd., stated, “This award is significant because it represents external recognition of the potential and practical application results of LiDAR-based spatial intelligence technology.” He added, “Going forward, we will expand the scope of application to more high-traffic facilities, including airports, to contribute to safer and more convenient space management and the realization of a smart city that citizens can truly experience.”
