[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh Seok ] LINCSOLUTION CO., LTD., a company specializing in 3D printing-based smart manufacturing, announced on the 15th that it has decided to issue its first private placement of convertible bonds (CBs) worth 30 billion won to expand its foundry business for advanced components in sectors such as aerospace, defense, humanoids, and AI (artificial intelligence) data center thermal management. The conversion price for this CB is 32,823 won per share—a 30% premium over the reference share price—with both the coupon rate and the maturity interest rate set at 0%. Notably, the bonds were issued without any repricing (conversion price adjustment) conditions tied to a decline in the stock price, allowing the company to secure funding for growth while minimizing financial costs and the dilution burden on existing shareholders. LINCSOLUTION CO., LTD. plans to use the funds raised to build a new foundry facility tailored to high-value-added industries. Separate from its existing Daejeon AM foundry, the new facility is expected to significantly strengthen the company’s mass production capabilities for high-tech components based on its accumulated 3D printing equipment and process technologies, and serve as a strategic hub to proactively support clients’ transition to mass production and subsequent expansion of production volumes. The company will also begin full-scale implementation of an autonomous manufacturing system (Dark Factory) to enhance productivity and cost competitiveness. It plans to integrate industrial 3D printing equipment, process data, automated facilities, logistics, and post-processing systems to create a system that operates unmanned and automatically 24 hours a day. Through this, the company aims to maximize equipment utilization and production efficiency, reduce process variations, and ensure the consistent quality essential for large-scale mass production. Furthermore, through R&D in materials, design, and processes, the company intends to transform ongoing proof-of-concept (PoC) projects with clients in new application areas into actual mass production projects. By shortening the commercialization period from R&D to mass production, the company plans to diversify its mid- to long-term mass production pipeline. A company official emphasized, “This investment decision was made to proactively respond to the expanding production demands of our high-tech industry clients,” adding, “We will focus the raised funds on building a new foundry plant, advancing our autonomous manufacturing system, and developing mass production technologies, thereby translating expanded production capacity into tangible revenue growth.”
