[Edaily Starin Reporter KIM HYUNSIK ] Comprehensive entertainment label WAY BETTER announced on the 17th that it has appointed Yoon Heung-gwan as its new CEO.

CEO Yoon entered the entertainment industry in 2002 when he joined DSP Entertainment (now DSP Media). While at DSP, he served as Executive Director of Production and Overseas Performances, leading the girl group KARA’s expansion into the Japanese market. He also served as the executive director for KARA’s sold-out solo concert held at Tokyo Dome in 2013.
WeBetter’s roster includes singers PromptTwenty, HelloGloom, Im Se-jun, Kang Yu-chan, and DJ/producer YYJ. With this appointment, WeBetter is transitioning to a professional management system.
Waybeller explained, “Prompt Twenty and Hello Gloom, who previously served as co-CEOs, will transition to the roles of chief director and chief producer, respectively, and plan to focus on their artistic activities as well as content planning and production.”
CEO Yoon stated, “We will mobilize all the management expertise and overseas performance infrastructure we have built up through our work with global artists to support our artists in showcasing their talents on stages around the world.”
