According to the SBS schedule released on the 17th, “The Man Who Lives with the King” will air on the 26th as a special Chuseok feature. It is scheduled to air at 9:30 p.m.
"The Man Who Lives with the King" is a historical drama set in Cheongnyeongpo in 1457, telling the story of Village Chief Eom Heung-do (played by Yoo Hae-jin), who voluntarily exiled himself to help revive the village, and the young former King Danjong Lee Hong-wi (played by Park Ji-hoon), who was deposed and exiled. Directed by Jang Hang-jun, the film garnered attention as the first Korean film to explore the untold story surrounding King Danjong.
According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network on the 17th, “Wangsa-nam” has drawn a cumulative audience of 16.92 million. It is the only Korean film this year to have surpassed the 10-million-viewer mark. Seven months after its theatrical release last February, “Wangsa-nam” is now set to reach television audiences.
