(Photo courtesy of MPMG Music)“Layer” is an album consisting of five tracks, including the title track “Just Before the Breakup,” as well as “Draw an Apple,” “Delivery,” “Ceremony,” and “Hello.” This marks their first full-album release since transitioning to a solo format led by Go Young-bae last January. The album title conveys the meaning that “the moments that have accumulated one by one since our new beginning have shaped Soran as we are today.” Their agency, MPMG Music, emphasized that “this album captures Soran’s evolution and challenges.” The title track, “Just Before a Breakup,” features a memorable repeating guitar loop and a gradually intensifying band sound. The lyrics express the desire for a partner to stay by one’s side just a little longer as a breakup approaches. The full album will be released at 6 p.m. today via various online music platforms. Three tracks from the album—“Draw an Apple,” “Delivery,” and “Ceremony” (featuring IZ*ONE member Miyeon)—were previously released as singles. Soran will open a pop-up store to celebrate the album’s release at Lounge M on the second floor of the MPMG headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul, from the 20th to the 24th.
