When applied to lighting, it can detect the presence and activity status of people or objects within a space in real time and control the lighting accordingly.
The company anticipates that AI smart lighting can be applied to various spaces, including parking lots, public facilities, and disaster or industrial sites. Examples include identifying the presence of vehicles in parking spaces in real time to guide users to available spots, or determining the location of people in need of rescue at disaster or accident sites to control the lighting in those specific areas.
FINE TECHNIX CO., LTD has previously laid the groundwork for business collaboration in the AI sector by investing in INICS Corporation. The company plans to expand its business scope into the smart lighting market by combining its existing lighting manufacturing capabilities with AI technology.
According to market research firm Fortune Business Insights, the global smart lighting market is projected to grow from $34.26 billion in 2026 to $173.21 billion in 2034. The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for the same period is expected to be 22.45%.
