ManhoRope&Wire announced on the 21st that it had approved a proposal to amend parts of its articles of incorporation—including a change of corporate name—at its 74th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held at the Busan Trade Center on the 18th. Accordingly, the company will officially rebrand as “MH Materials Co., Ltd.”
This name change goes beyond a simple corporate identity (CI) upgrade; it reflects the company’s mid- to long-term strategy to transform from a steel-centric business structure into a future-oriented growth enterprise encompassing advanced materials and robotics. The term “Materials” in the new name embodies the company’s commitment to expanding its business scope—building on its core competencies in steel wire and wire rope manufacturing—into the fields of key robotics materials and precision components.
With MH Systems and MH Dynamics as its two main pillars, MH Materials plans to accelerate the establishment of a robotics value chain spanning from robot electronics and controls to precision machining and hardware.
In particular, MH Systems, which specializes in robot electronics and control, is expected to continue its steep revenue growth this year, following sales of approximately 19 billion won in 2025. The company plans to combine MH Systems’ control capabilities with MH Dynamics’ precision machining and hardware expertise to expand its scope beyond simply supplying parts to a “robot platform business” that integrates core robot components and control technologies.
CEO Ahn Byeong-du emphasized, “The change of our corporate name to MH Materials is not merely a name change; it marks a crucial starting point for shifting the company’s future growth pillars toward robotics and advanced materials.” He added, “We will build a differentiated robotics platform business by combining our existing manufacturing and materials competitiveness with the robotics software and hardware capabilities of MH Systems and MH Dynamics.”
