Since its release on September 18, “Scandal” has recorded 1.9 million views (the number of views divided by the show’s total runtime) and 14.5 million viewing hours. It entered the top 10 in a total of 10 countries, including South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. “Scandal” is a Netflix series that tells the story of “Lady Jo,” a woman with exceptional talents who feels confined by her role as a woman in the Joseon Dynasty, and “Jo Won,” the Joseon Dynasty’s greatest ladies’ man, as they engage in a daring and dangerous love wager—and the story of “Hee-yeon,” a woman entangled in that wager.
