[Edaily Reporter Ryu junha ] BLACKPINK member Jennie ranked No. 5 on Billboard’s main singles chart in the U.S.

According to Billboard on the 23rd (local time), “Dracula,” a collaboration between Jennie and Australian singer Tame Impala, reached No. 5 on the “Hot 100”—the main singles chart—tying her personal best ranking.

The song has remained in the “Top 10” for 17 consecutive weeks, once again breaking the record for “the longest-running K-pop artist in the Top 10” that Jennie set the previous week.

Released through Columbia Records, “Dracula” had previously ranked No. 6 on the “Hot 100” last week.

Previously, Jennie had surpassed not only the record set by her bandmate Rosé’s collaboration with Bruno Mars, “APT.”(14 weeks) and global supergroup BTS’s “Butter” (15 weeks), setting a new record for the longest stay in the “Hot 100” Top 10 among all K-pop groups and solo artists—male and female—and is now making history once again this week.

Originally released last October as a solo track by Tame Impala, a duet version featuring Jennie was released this past February. The song was co-written by Parker, Jennie, Sarah Aarons, and Carly Zibart, with Parker handling all production duties.

Its long-term reign on the subgenre charts has also extended by another week. It has held the top spot on the “Hot Dance/Electronic Songs” chart for a total of 37 weeks, and is currently No. 1 on the “Hot Rock & Alternative Songs” chart for 19 weeks and the “Adult Pop Airplay” chart for 9 weeks. It previously topped the “Pop Airplay” (7 weeks) and “Alternative Airplay” (2 weeks) charts as well.

Another BLACKPINK member, Lisa, entered the chart at No. 93 with “SaWaDiKa.”

Additionally, on the main album chart, the “Billboard 200,” Stray Kids’ new album “This & That” ranked 17th, marking the highest position among K-pop artists.

BTS’s fifth studio album “ARIRANG” ranked 30th, the original soundtrack (OST) for the Netflix animated film “K-Pop Demon Hunters” ranked 36th, and ENHYPEN’s “THE SIN: BLISS” ranked 115th.
