On the 22nd (local time), Polestar, a media outlet specializing in the live entertainment industry, released cumulative ticket sales figures for various tours from November 13 of last year to August 12 of this year.

According to the report, BTS’s “ARIRANG” world tour, which began in April of this year, drew 2,314,140 attendees across 38 shows. Ticket sales totaled approximately 637 billion won, marking the highest revenue among all global tours held during that period.

The city where the most tickets were sold for BTS’s current tour was Las Vegas, USA. The group held four shows at Allegiant Stadium last May, drawing 245,691 attendees and generating approximately 911억 won in ticket sales.

This figure already surpasses last year’s top-grossing tour. According to Pollstar, last year’s highest-grossing tour was Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter Tour,” which generated approximately 557.4 billion won.

Meanwhile, BTS will kick off their South American tour on the 2nd of next month in Bogotá, Colombia.

This marks the first time BTS will perform as a full group in Colombia, Peru, and Argentina.

“Visit Bogotá,” the official tourism website operated by the Bogotá Tourism Board, introduced BTS as “the group representing 21st-century global pop” and highlighted that, thanks to these concerts, Bogotá has become one of the world’s major music venues.

The city of Lima, Peru, hosted a K-pop cultural event ahead of BTS’s visit. Held on the 12th and 13th at the Lima Fountain Park—one of the city’s premier nighttime tourist attractions—the event featured dance covers, video screenings, and cultural programs.

In La Plata, Argentina, the city government, provincial government, and concert producers joined forces to prepare for a large-scale audience.

Based on estimates recently released by the city of La Plata, the local media outlet El Día predicted that more than 150,000 people would visit the city. It also forecast a large influx of visitors from abroad, including the United States, Colombia, Chile, and Uruguay.
