[Edaily Reporter Han Jeon-jin ] Three major department store chains are simultaneously launching their regular sales in early October, targeting the long weekend and the start of the fall shopping season. They are offering discounts of up to 60% on fall and winter (F/W) merchandise—including fashion, sports, and home goods—and expanding entertainment options such as sports experiences, pop-up stores, and cultural performances to attract holiday shoppers.

The store will offer discounts of up to 40% on fall and winter items from participating brands and run a promotion every weekend where customers receive 5–10% of their purchase amount back in Lotte gift cards.
Alongside the sale, the company will host “Lotte Active Week,” themed around sports and the outdoors, at all department stores, shopping malls, and outlets from the 1st to the 18th of next month. On the 9th and 10th, the Lotte Mall Gimpo Airport branch will host the “Lotte Active Festival,” featuring pickleball, tent pitching, and uphill trail walks. At locations such as the Incheon, Nowon, Pyeongchon, and Dongtan branches, the company will also offer customer-participation classes in collaboration with brands like Neff, Andar, and XEXYMIX.
Shinsegae Co.,Ltd will hold its fall “Only SHINSEGAE SALE” at all locations from the 1st to the 18th of next month. Over 300 brands—including women’s and Namsung fashion, streetwear, sportswear, children’s wear, accessories, and home goods—will participate, offering discounts ranging from 10% to 60%. The Gangnam branch will host a pop-up for “Jump Shop,” the official store of Japanese manga publisher Shueisha, as well as a pop-up for the fashion brand “Low Classic,” while the main branch will feature an exhibition by artist Park Seon-ki.

Autumn collections from approximately 200 brands—including fashion, home goods, and sports—will be discounted by up to 60% off the original price. The Pangyo branch will host a “Beauty Festa” featuring 48 brands, while the Mokdong branch will hold a “Golf Festival” featuring seven golf brands, with event items discounted by up to 70%.
The department store is also expanding its cultural and experiential offerings during the holiday period. At The Hyundai Seoul, “Joseon’s Haute Couture” will take place every weekend, featuring a procession of 24 performers dressed in royal court attire parading through the store. The Trade Center branch will host jazz performances, while the KINTEX branch will hold a paper airplane-flying contest.
