[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] The Gold Team will be joined by actor Lee Si-won, the undisputed champion of survival shows; lawyer Shin In-kyu; Choi Yeon-seung from “Game of Blood”; Lee So-ra, CEO of a beauty company; and former White leader Park Se-seung.
The production team behind the Wavve Original “The Community 2: The Invisible Hand” has released a team poster and interviews featuring the Gold Team—Park Se-seung, Shin In-kyu, Lee So-ra, Lee Si-won, and Choi Yeon-seung—who have entered the game with a new currency. It came as a shock when it was revealed that Park Se-seung, the White Team leader who was eliminated in tears during Episode 6, was actually a spy for the Gold Team. In the poster, the Gold Team exudes confidence with the tagline, “Isn’t this game too much in our favor?” Having joined the show with the new currency “Gold,” they plan to shake up the town’s economy by leveraging “Transparent Gold”—whose total supply is disclosed in real time—unlike the existing “Gems,” whose total supply is unknown, under the rule that only a single currency will be recognized as prize money in the final vote. Since they are introduced midway through the season, the Gold Team features strategists with impressive credentials. Led by team leader Shin In-kyu, a lawyer, the team includes Lee Si-won, who has authored a paper on game theory and has appeared on three survival shows, survival show veteran Choi Yeon-seung, who has appeared on *The Genius* and *Game of Blood*; Lee So-ra, the CEO of a beauty company valued at 150 billion won with a cool, calculated strategic mind; and Park Se-seung, the former White Team leader who possesses a complete grasp of the town’s internal dynamics and is known for his shocking plot twists—these are the key members of the Golden Team. Newcomer Shin In-kyu shared his aspirations, saying, “I wanted to dynamically change the game by introducing a new currency within the intricately designed rules.” Lee So-ra and Lee Si-won revealed their competitive spirit, stating, “We aimed to become a new variable simply by appearing,” and “We want the mere existence of our team to force the existing members to make different calculations than before.” Choi Yeon-seung also expressed confidence, saying, “I’ll serve as a new variable and create dynamic gameplay to excite the viewers.” They also shared their thoughts on the Season 2 keyword, “Resources and Trade.” Shin In-kyu replied, “I found the game interesting because it’s innovative and sophisticated—it deals with economics and cutthroat competition rather than ideological debates.” Lee So-ra agreed, saying, “I felt it could actually be more honest and ruthless in that human desires and trust are revealed through numbers.” Lee Si-won highly praised the solid rules, noting, “It felt like a microcosm of human economic history, and I thought it would be even more ruthless.” Choi Yeon-seung added, “Since we actually have to compete by gaining and losing, I think people’s instinctive and honest sides will come out.” Regarding team chemistry, Lee So-ra mentioned Lee Si-won, noting that he was warmer than his initially sophisticated first impression suggested. The members also praised Park Se-seung, who had infiltrated the Town as a spy early on, saying, “He was smart and resourceful, so he was able to quickly grasp the situation within the Town.” Finally, Shin In-kyu issued a bold challenge to the existing teams, saying, “We’ll try to ramp up the market’s dynamism”; Lee So-ra added, “Don’t underestimate us just because we joined late”; Lee Si-won declared, “Don’t be afraid”; and Choi Yeon-seung concluded, “Let’s have some fun together.” They also conveyed their deep immersion in the show by defining their time in the Community Town as, respectively, “uncharted territory,” “dopamine,” “rest,” and “questions that make you reflect on the essence of community.” “The Community 2: The Invisible Hand” is a social experiment survival show where daily survival is determined by transactions and negotiations based on each participant’s needs. After Season 1 premiered on January 26, 2024, it garnered attention thanks to its dedicated fan base, and Season 2 is now attracting even more interest. New episodes premiere every Friday at 11:00 a.m. on WAVVE.
