[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] With the finale of “New Recruit 4: Sabotage” approaching, interest is mounting as Jung Yi-rang and Gong Min-jeong have announced their appearances, leaving viewers curious about the story they will unfold.
On the 28th, the production team of ENA’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Rookie 4: Sabotage” revealed new characters who have arrived at the Shin Hwa Unit, with only two episodes remaining until the finale. In the photos released ahead of the broadcast, a mysterious woman (played by Jeong Yi-rang) is seen smiling brightly under a yellow umbrella. Curiosity is mounting as to her true identity. Park Jae-soo (played by Oh Yong), who appears to be harboring a hint of bitterness, also catches the eye. His expression, markedly different from usual, has sparked curiosity about what hidden story lies behind Park Jae-soo, who has served in the military for so long. Major Kim Ha-na’s presence is also striking. Her impeccable, crisp salute and cool, inscrutable gaze are anything but ordinary. Above all, it is highly unusual for an officer of her rank to visit the Shin-hwa Unit in person. The serious demeanor of Battalion Commander Byun Hyeok-jin (played by Lee Hyun-kyun) in the following scene only heightens curiosity about the conversation that took place between the two. The production team of “Rookie 4: Sabotage” stated, “In Episode 11, airing today, new characters will appear at the Shinwa Unit, setting the stage for another act of sabotage,” adding, “In particular, please stay tuned to see the hidden backstories of Drill Instructor Park Jae-soo and Vending Machine Jeong, as well as how the atmosphere at the Shinwa Unit will change with the arrival of Major Kim Ha-na.” ENA’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Rookie” is a gritty, realistic drama depicting the chaos that ensues when a “privileged” recruit joins a unit already filled with all kinds of characters. Buoyed by the popularity of Season 1, the series has been produced through Season 4 and has established itself as the flagship intellectual property (IP) of its production company, KT Studio Genie. Only two episodes remain until the series finale. Episode 11 will air on ENA at 10:00 p.m. on the 28th.
