[Edaily Starin, Reporter Gim Ga Yeong ] TV personalities Bae Seong-jae and Kim Da-young are set to become parents for the first time in about a year and a half.

SM C&C, Bae Seong-jae’s agency, stated on the 30th, “Bae Seong-jae and Kim Da-young are currently preparing to welcome a precious new life,” adding, “We ask for your understanding as we are unable to provide specific details, including the expected due date, in order to protect the artists’ privacy.”
They added, “We are grateful for the warm interest and support you have always shown Bae Seong-jae and Kim Da-young.”
The couple married last May. They announced the pregnancy about a year after their wedding.
Born in 1978, Bae Seong-jae joined KBS as a 31st-batch announcer in 2005 before moving to SBS as a 14th-batch announcer in 2006. He was particularly beloved for his outstanding performance in sports broadcasting. After leaving SBS in 2021 to become a freelance broadcaster, Bae Seong-jae has appeared on various variety shows, including “The Girls Who Score Goals,” “The National Team Is the National Team,” “Hello Trot,” “Ramen Old-Timer,” “Flame Band,” and “League of Legends.” He also continues to provide commentary for various sporting events.
Born in 1992, Kim Da-young worked at Mokpo MBC and Busan MBC before joining SBS as an experienced announcer in 2021. She served as a regular guest on SBS Radio Power FM’s “Kim Young-chul’s Power FM” and as the weekday sports news anchor for “SBS 8 News.” She also played a role as a member of FC Anaconda on “Goal-Scoring Girls.” After resigning last April, she has been working as a freelancer.
