The group consists of four members: Dream (lead vocals), Dayoung (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Hyunsoo (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Seoyou (bass). Their debut album, “BE MY HUG,” features a total of seven tracks, including the triple title tracks “Scars,” “I-U-E-O,” and “Shoelaces,” as well as “BE MY HUG,” “00FF00,” “BE FELT,” and “Flying in the Shade.” The members personally participated in writing the lyrics and composing the music for all tracks. Han Roro contributed to the lyrics of “Shoelace,” one of the tracks on the album. Authentic stated, “We’ve infused a message of solidarity—connecting one another’s hearts—into Aiueo’s unique music.” Debut album cover (Photo courtesy of Authentic)Among the three title tracks, “I-U-E-O” expresses the desire to live true to oneself without losing one’s identity, even amidst hatred and criticism. “Scratch” is a song about the courage to love without fearing getting hurt. “Shoelaces” conveys the message that even on anxious and depressing days, we should tie our shoelaces again, get back up, and move forward. Han Roro contributed to the lyrics of this track. The music videos for the triple title tracks were released early on YouTube ahead of the album’s release. The combined view count for the three music videos has surpassed 5 million. The full album will be released at 12:00 PM today on various online music platforms. IUEO will perform at the music festival “Wonder Rivet 2026” on the 20th of next month.
