A Cute-Meets-Cute Collaboration… Youthsphere Partners with ‘Maltese & Retriever’
Popular Character Selected as Promotional Model
Expanding Engagement with Character Fan Bases
“It’s an honor to be here with a character I’ve always loved”
[Edaily Starin YUN GI BACK Reporter] The group Youthphere is expanding its reach among fans by serving as promotional models for characters. This is expected to serve as an opportunity to introduce the group to users who enjoy emojis and character merchandise beyond just music and performances. Featuring a white Maltese and a golden retriever, these characters are known for their emojis that express everyday life and emotions. They are reaching users not only in South Korea but also in China and Japan through emojis and character merchandise. This collaboration is drawing attention as it brings together a K-pop group and a character with distinct fan bases. Youthpher can introduce the group to users familiar with the character, while the character can expand its reach through music and fan content. In particular, there is interest in how the collaboration with a character—which is also launching merchandise in Japan—will tie into Youthpher’s local activities ahead of their Tokyo fan meeting. Lee Won-min, CEO of MW Entertainment, stated, “We are very pleased that Youthpher has been selected as a promotional model,” adding, “We plan to strive to create positive synergy between the character business and K-pop through various forms of collaboration in the future.” The members of YUSPHERE also shared their thoughts through their agency, saying, “It is an honor to serve as promotional models for a character we have loved and followed with great interest for a long time.” Yusphere, consisting of Sian, Soi, Seo Yu, Da-on, Chae Na, and Roa, debuted last June with their first single, “SPEED ZONE.” They continued their activities this June with the release of their first mini-album, “BITE DISTRICT.” On the 24th, they will hold a fan meeting titled “My Buddy” in Tokyo, Japan, to meet with local fans.
