[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] Actor Kim Min is receiving an enthusiastic response after appearing on MBC’s “I Live Alone” and revealing his down-to-earth, everyday life.
Actor Kim Min, known for his scene-stealing performances, appeared on the episode of MBC’s *I Live Alone* that aired on the 2nd. Having lived alone for 28 years, he showcased a “Dongducheon lifestyle” filled with freedom and romance in an old house built over 90 years ago. Faced with the exotic interior (?) and his unpredictable daily routine, Code Kunst remarked in surprise, “He seems like someone too big for us to capture.” From cranking a generator to power up his home and tearing into a whole baguette, to personally patching a cracked floor with cement, doing raw carpentry work, and even practicing martial arts—he amazed viewers by showcasing a daily life where nothing was predictable. Kim Min shared his outlook on life, saying, “I think you’re happier when you’re a little lacking,” and added, “Isn’t it fun to fill in those gaps?” Kim Min, who worked in construction before applying to a foreign company, reportedly lived abroad for about eight years—in the UK, New Zealand, and Australia—to learn languages. He explained that he honed his acting skills while gaining diverse experiences during that time and revealed that he had studied under a mentor famous for French clown theater. Kim Min, who has practiced various martial arts since childhood and holds a combined 10th-degree black belt, obtained an instructor’s certification at a Hapkido dojang he joined to learn proper falling techniques and continues to work as a Hapkido instructor to this day. Kim Min stated that his life goal is to “live each day to the fullest,” explaining, “It’s not about being handsome; it’s about making the time I spend count. It’s a life where I do what I want to do in a way that leaves no room for regret.” Code Kunst shared that he was deeply inspired by Kim Min’s daily life, saying, “As a creator myself, seeing someone who lives life as a work of art made me feel a little ashamed.” Viewers who saw Kim Min’s daily life on *I Live Alone* reacted with comments such as, “I don’t know if this is *I Live Alone* or *A Man in Nature*,” “An all-time great cast member,” and “He’s so cool.” Meanwhile, Kim Min has made a name for himself through appearances in films such as *The Roundup*, *Smuggling*, and *The Middle Realm*, as well as TV dramas including *Casino*, *The Deliveryman*, *Killers’ Shopping Mall*, *Study Group*, *Sculpted City*, and *Four Hands*.
