[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] IDOL group member YUQI has unveiled a new look ahead of her comeback.
On the 2nd, her agency, Cube Entertainment, released the final concept photos for YUQI’s second mini-album, “27 (二十七),” on iDLE’s (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, YUQI, Shuhua) official social media accounts.
Standing alone in the rain, YUQI exudes a lonely yet cynical vibe. Her damp hair and smoky makeup accentuate her uninhibited charm. With a cool, reserved mood that contrasts with her previously showcased free-spirited and fresh image, YUQI has vividly portrayed the emotions she faces at the age of twenty-seven.
Woo Gi’s new album, “27,” captures the artist at the age of twenty-seven, just as the title suggests. Comparing her age—which harbors inner struggles beneath a bright exterior—to a sunflower, the album expresses Woo Gi’s multifaceted inner world: the belief that she is the protagonist in any world and that she will love herself no matter what form she takes.
Ahead of the album’s release, Woo Gi first unveiled the music video for the track “I Like You.” The video conveys self-love and positive energy—the idea of accepting and loving oneself—through Woo Gi’s unique warmth and vitality. With the pre-release of this track alone already garnering intense interest from global fans, anticipation is also building for the title track “Stay.”
Woo-gi’s second mini-album, “27,” will be released on the 8th via music streaming platforms both domestically and internationally.
Meanwhile, Woo Gi debuted in 2018 as a member of the group iDOL. In addition to his group activities, he gained popularity by appearing on numerous variety shows, including “I’m Alive,” “Adola School,” “Zero-Sum Game,” “All Kinds of Things,” and “I’m Sunny, Thank You.”
