CJ ENM CO., Ltd. announced on the 7th that ENPLUS surpassed 50 million cumulative members this month. Since launching its beta service in April 2022, the platform surpassed 40 million members in October of last year and added 10 million members in just one year.
Recently, approximately 90% of new subscribers have been in their teens and twenties. Overseas users account for about 80% of the total user base. The U.S. has emerged as the second-largest market among regions with new subscribers this year, and the proportion of U.S. users among all new subscribers has more than doubled compared to last year.
Along with the growth in membership, the platform is expanding its content lineup. In addition to existing K-pop programs like “M COUNTDOWN” and live content, it has introduced original content such as “WANNA ONE GO” and “Hide and Seek 2.” It has also added new formats, including the dating reality show “Rapper Seeks Girlfriend: KISS or DISS.”
The platform has also broadened its scope beyond K-pop. It has introduced beauty, lifestyle, and food-related content such as “Yeonji Gonji: YZKZ” and “IDOL’S TABLE,” and has begun operating “STAN:A,” a brand section that features third-party content.
The company is also leveraging strategies that integrate offline events with its platform. At this year’s “KCON LA 2026,” it encouraged on-site visitors to sign up for new subscriptions.
In response to the growing user base, the company has also shared its data management practices for operating large-scale content services with the public. This year, EMNET INC. participated in conferences hosted by AWS, MongoDB, and Braze, where it presented case studies on traffic and data management for large-scale K-pop events.
At the AWS Summit Seoul, the company presented case studies on the global live stream and AI subtitling operations for the MAMA AWARDS, while at MongoDB.local Seoul, it introduced data management case studies related to “BOYS II PLANET” and the MAMA AWARDS. At Braze Forge, the company presented case studies on CRM and fan data utilization.
Kim Ji-won, Head of the Mnet Plus Business Division, said, “We plan to expand our original and live content offerings and strengthen personalization and fan engagement features.”
Mnet Plus is currently available in approximately 250 regions. It provides CJ ENM CO., Ltd.’s K-pop-related content, including Mnet content, KCON, and the MAMA AWARDS.
