[Edaily Reporter LEE SEON-WOO ] “2026 Content Universe Korea” will be held over two days, on the 16th and 17th, at the Goyang Flower Exhibition Hall in Goyang Ilsan Lake Park under the theme “The Infinitely Expanding Content Economy.” This event offers a unique opportunity to explore, all in one place, the changes and trends as a single piece of content expands into various industries and markets through IP (intellectual property) and fandom, as well as new business opportunities.
Keynote speakers—Professor Bruno Lobrich of De Sala University, Japanese entertainment sociologist Dr. Atsuo Nakayama, Lee Yoon-kyung, Head of the Content Research Division at the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, and Seo Woo-seok, CEO of BeMyFriends—will take the stage to discuss the infinite expandability of content that transcends national borders, genres, and platforms.
Lin Zhengde, author of the popular Taiwanese manga “Young Gun”; Lim Jin-won, Director at Fan Communications, operator of the global fandom platform “JK Fandom”; Shin Cheol-ho, CEO of the creator IP distribution platform “OGQ”; and Cha Woo-jin, CEO of the Entertainment Culture Research Institute, will deliver a series of presentations in the “Creators, Fandom, and the IP Economy” session.
This will be followed by a “Talk Concert” featuring four mega-influencers—including Shinsama and Crystal Lee—as well as a lecture on “Local Content Success Stories.” The event will also feature exhibition and hands-on experience zones, including a pop-up store showcasing various character merchandise from the animated film “Toy Story,” an “AI Media Art” exhibit, and a “Flea Market” featuring over 20 mega-influencers.
At the event venue, a prize drawing will be held for all participants, offering round-trip air tickets to Don Mueang, Thailand; a stay at the Magellan Sutra Resort in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia; and a stay at the Hyatt Regency Qingdao in China. We look forward to your active participation.
