[Edaily Reporter Jeong Min-ju ] The Korea Housing Finance Corporation announced on the 8th that it is expanding the eligibility for its “Special Jeonse Guarantee for Young People Without Homes” to those aged 39 and under, and raising the guarantee limit for newlywed households and families with children to 300 million won.

Previously, eligibility was limited to those aged 34 or younger. The maximum loan limit remains at 200 million won, and the guarantee ratio remains at 100%, unchanged from before.

For newlywed households, the eligibility criteria have been revised so that they can utilize the Special Jeonse Guarantee for Young Adults even if their combined annual income exceeds the threshold, provided that the annual income of at least one spouse is 70 million won or less. To be recognized as a newlywed household, the couple must have been married for seven years or less, or plan to marry within three months of the loan application date.

These changes will take effect for new guarantee applications submitted on or after the 19th of this month.

President Kim Kyung-hwan stated, “We will continue to strengthen financial support for genuine homebuyers, such as young people, and continuously improve our guarantee products in line with changes in housing conditions.”
