(Photo = Yonhap News) According to the Financial Supervisory Service’s Electronic Disclosure System (DART) on the 9th, Jung Woo-sung resigned from his position as an internal director at Artist Company on the 2nd. In the related report on the status of large shareholdings, the reason for the report was specified as “termination of the special relationship due to the mid-term resignation (October 2, 2026) of Jung Woo-sung, a specially related party, from his position as an executive (in-house director) of the issuing company.” Consequently, a change report was filed as the shares held by Jung Woo-sung and his specially related parties decreased by 1 percent or more. According to the disclosure, the termination of the special relationship was not due to Jung Woo-sung disposing of his shares, but rather resulted from his resignation as an inside director. Jung Woo-sung currently holds 1,714,108 shares of Artist Company, and his ownership stake remains unchanged at 10.99%. Jung Woo-sung was appointed as an inside director of Artist Company alongside Lee Jung-jae on March 29, 2024. Although his original term was set to expire on March 28, 2027, he stepped down from his position as a director approximately six months before the term’s end—about two years and six months after his appointment. Jung Woo-sung and Lee Jung-jae co-founded Artist Company in 2016 and have maintained a business partnership for about 10 years. Artist Company, which began as an actor management agency, has since expanded its business scope to include film and drama production. In addition to Jung Woo-sung and Lee Jung-jae, the agency represents actors such as Yeom Jung-ah, Im Ji-yeon, Park Hae-jin, Kim Hye-yoon, Kim Jong-soo, and Bae Sung-woo.
