[Edaily Starin YUN GI BACK Reporter] The group CLOSE YOUR EYES continued its upward trajectory by topping music show charts following its highest-ever album sales. This achievement is significant because the group has expanded its success beyond physical album sales driven by its fanbase to include digital music and television appearances.

CLOSE YOUR EYES took first place on KBS2’s “Music Bank,” which aired on the 9th, with “Drop That!,” the title track from their fourth mini-album, “256th Note.”
Released on the 30th of last month, “256th Note” surpassed 710,000 copies in first-week sales, setting a new personal best. “Drop That!” peaked at No. 26 on Melon’s New Releases chart and No. 3 on Bugs’ Real-Time chart. This marks the group’s first entry into the Bugs Top 5 since their debut. It also reached a peak of No. 56 on the Bugs Daily chart.
The album also received a positive response overseas. “256th Note” reached No. 62 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, marking the third-highest ranking among K-pop artists on the chart at the time of the tally.
“Drop That!” is a track that samples Yoon Si-nae’s “Enjoy This Night” and reinterprets it in a 1990s street hip-hop style. The group’s approach—infusing the familiar original track with a powerful performance and their unique style—led to strong album and digital sales, as well as a No. 1 finish on music shows.
Immediately after receiving the award, Close Your Eyes shared her thoughts, saying, “I’m happy to receive such a great award for an album we prepared so hard for,” and added, “Since all of these achievements are thanks to CLOSER, I’ll repay you by becoming an even better artist.”
