Actor Joo Ji-hoon exuded confidence during the outdoor stage greeting for *The Remarried Queen* at the 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) held at the Loop Theater of the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan, on the 10th. All the lead actors of the highly anticipated film *The Remarried Queen*—Shin Min-a, Joo Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk, and Lee Se-young—attended the event.

Set to premiere on the 4th of next month on Disney+ “*The Remarried Empress*, set to premiere on Disney+ on the 4th of next month, is a romantic fantasy epic that follows Navi (played by Shin Min-a), the perfect empress of the Dongdae Empire, who is informed of her divorce by Emperor Sobiesh (played by Joo Ji-hoon)—who has fallen for the runaway slave Rasta (played by Lee Se-young). Instead of accepting the divorce, she demands approval to remarry Prince Heinri (played by Lee Jong-suk) of the Western Kingdom.

“The Empress’s Second Marriage” is drawing attention for its unprecedented premise. In particular, Joo Ji-hoon plays Emperor Sobiesh, a character who provokes anger by cheating on his empress while simultaneously granting permission for her to remarry.

Joo Ji-hoon drew laughter by saying, “Please feel free to curse at me to your heart’s content after watching *The Remarried Empress*.” He also added, “If you ask those who saw it in advance yesterday, they’ll tell you it’s fun,” and remarked, “It hasn’t even started yet. Your dopamine will be exploding,” drawing further attention.

Shin Min-a, who plays the lead role of Empress Nabi in *The Remarried Empress*, shared her viewing tips, saying, “I hope you’ll quickly immerse yourselves in the world we’ve created and enjoy watching each character’s performance,” and added, “If you follow the emotions closely, you’ll find it entertaining.”

Lee Jong-suk, who plays Prince Haeinri, said, “This is the first romance fantasy drama of its kind in Korean television. It might feel a bit unfamiliar, but it will definitely be entertaining,” and added, “Please watch it with high expectations.”

Lee Se-young, who plays Rasta—the character who falls in love with the Emperor—revealed her nervousness, stating that she hadn’t slept a wink throughout the Busan International Film Festival schedule. She added, “I hope you’ll continue to watch with the same enthusiasm and passion you’ve shown so far.”

The 31st Busan International Film Festival will run through the 15th at venues across Busan, including the Busan Cinema Center, CGV Centum City, Lotte Cinema Centum City, the Korean Film Council’s Standard Screening Room, the Sohyang Theater Woori Bank Hall, and the Busan Viewers’ Media Center Public Hall.
