[Busan=Edaily Starin Choi Hee-jae Reporter] “She’s so beautiful.” “She has a unique aura.” Actress Shin Min-a is seen interacting with the audience after coming down from the stage during the stage greeting for *The Remarried Queen* at the 31st Busan International Film Festival, held on the 10th at the Loop Theater in the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan. The atmosphere grew even more electric when Joo Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk, and Lee Se-young joined her on stage.
On the 10th, Shin Min-a, Joo Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk, and Lee Se-young attended the outdoor stage greeting for *The Remarried Queen* at the Loop Theater of the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan, as part of the 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), to meet with the audience. Interest was particularly high because the four lead actors were gathered together ahead of the series’ release, and because it was an opportunity for the audience to share their immediate reactions with the actors after watching the series on the big screen.
The Disney+ series *The Remarried Empress*, set to premiere on the 4th of next month, is a romantic fantasy epic that unfolds after Navi (played by Shin Min-a), the perfect empress of the Dongdae Empire, is notified of her divorce by Emperor Sobiesh (played by Joo Ji-hoon)—who has fallen for Rasta (played by Lee Se-young), a runaway slave—and and subsequently demands permission to remarry Prince Heinrich (played by Lee Jong-suk) of the Western Kingdom.
Shin Min-a said, “I was so happy to hear that we had been officially invited to the Busan International Film Festival,” adding, “I’m thrilled that the series will be shown on the big screen.”
She continued, “Even though there’s still about a month left until the release, I’m so grateful for your love for *The Remarried Empress*,” addressing the audience. Lee Jong-suk, who returned to the Busan International Film Festival after a long absence, also expressed his anticipation. He said, “It’s been a while since I’ve been to the Busan International Film Festival, and I’m excited to see so many people welcoming me and showing their support.”
Lee Se-young remarked, “I’ve never had the chance to watch the film on such a big screen and monitor the immediate reactions right there on the spot,” adding, “I was both excited and nervous, but it was such a precious moment to be able to watch it together.”
She continued, “I couldn’t sleep a wink all night because of your passionate support and love. I was so eager to see how you’d react,” and confessed, “I stayed up all night for three straight days.”
Shin Min-a also shared her memories of the Busan International Film Festival. Having attended the festival for the third time with *The Empress of Remarriage*, following *Just the Way It Is* and *My Love, My Bride*, she said, “It’s been a very long time since I’ve been to the Busan International Film Festival, but it brings back memories of those days,” adding, “I’m so happy that so many people seem to be enjoying it.”
Lee Jong-suk also expressed his joy at reconnecting with old acquaintances through the film festival. “I met senior actor Kwon Hae-hyo, with whom I filmed a project in 2014, for the first time in 10 years, and we exchanged warm greetings,” he said. “It’s great to be able to catch up with people like that when I come to the Busan International Film Festival.”
Joo Ji-hoon also remarked, “I think I came here before for *Asura*,” and shouted “*Asura!*,” drawing laughter from the audience.
After the on-stage greeting concluded, all four actors came down from the stage to sign autographs and greet fans, interacting closely with the audience.
The 31st Busan International Film Festival runs through the 15th at venues across Busan, including the Busan Cinema Center, CGV Centum City, Lotte Cinema Centum City, the Korean Film Council’s Standard Screening Room, the Sohyang Theater Woori Bank Hall, and the Busan Viewers’ Media Center Public Hall.
