[Edaily Starin YUN GI BACK Reporter] Kim Mu-yeol, Park Hae-soo, So Ji-sub, Lee Jun-ho, Lee Hee-joon, and Hyun Bin are competing for the Best Actor Award at this year’s Korea Drama Awards. In the Best Actress category, Ko Yoon-jung, Kim Go-eun, Shin Hye-sun, Im Yoon-ah, Im Ji-yeon, and Jang Young-nam have been nominated, promising a fierce competition.

The “17th Korea Drama Awards” will take place at 5:20 p.m. on the 10th at the Grand Performance Hall of the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Center in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do. Winners will be selected from works and actors featured on terrestrial TV, cable, general programming channels, and online video services (OTT) from August of last year through July of this year.
The recipient of this year’s Grand Prize will also be announced on that day. Ahn Jae-wook, who received last year’s Grand Prize, will take the stage as a presenter to personally present the trophy to the new winner.
Nominees for Best Production include SBS’s “Manager Kim,” Netflix’s “Lady Dua” and “Eun-joong and Sang-yeon,” Disney+’s “Made in Korea,” JTBC’s “Everyone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness,” and tvN’s “The Tyrant’s Chef.” Productions from a variety of platforms—ranging from terrestrial broadcasters to general programming channels, cable networks, and OTT services—will compete against one another.
Winners in popular categories—such as the Hot Star Award, Global Star Award, Rising Star Award, Best Couple Award, and Original Soundtrack (OST) Award—will be determined by fan voting. The results will be calculated by combining 40% from the first round of voting and 60% from the second round; fan votes will also account for 10% of the results for major awards, including Best Actor/Actress and Best Drama.
Actors Ryu Seung-soo, Park Yu-na, and Ha Do-kwon will host the event. Ryu Seung-soo and Park Yu-na, who play father and daughter in the KBS2 drama *Love Is Coming*, will continue their on-screen chemistry on the awards ceremony stage. Singer Kim Hyung-joong will perform a celebratory concert.
The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on the Korea Drama Festival’s official YouTube channel. The “17th Korea Drama Awards” is a major program of the “2026 Korea Drama Festival,” which is being held in the Jinju area through the 18th.
