[Edaily Starin YUN GI BACK Reporter] The group IVE is making a comeback with “Girl Hero,” a song that emphasizes the bond among its six members. Following the expansion of their reach through their second world tour, they are also attempting to broaden their musical horizons through member participation in songwriting and collaborations with international musicians. IVE (Photo: Starship Entertainment) Their agency, Starship Entertainment, released group concept photos for their new mini-album “Looks Can Kill” on IVE’s official social media accounts on the 9th. In the photos, An Yu-jin, Ga-eul, Ray, Jang Won-young, Liz, and Lee Seo either gaze at the camera while holding their respective masks or walk side by side as a unified team. The photos featuring the members wearing masks evoke the atmosphere of the main characters from a superhero movie gathered in one place. This composition connects the six distinct characters showcased in the individual photos into a cohesive narrative for the full group. This album marks their first new release in about eight months since their second full-length album, “REVIVE+.” It is also drawing attention as it is being released at a time when the group is meeting audiences around the world through their second world tour, “SHOW WHAT I AM.” The transformation goes beyond just a visual one. Autumn, Ray, and Liz participated in songwriting to further define the group’s identity, and the album will also feature collaborations that transcend national and genre boundaries. This reflects a trend where members, having gained experience through their activities, are expanding their influence within the music production process as well. The album features a total of six tracks, including the title track “Lux Can Kill,” as well as “Mirror Mirror,” “SNAKESKIN,” “CRUMBS,” “Girls Girls Girls,” and “Glow Motion.” IVE will first release the title track “Lux Can Kill” on the 19th, followed by the full album on the 26th.
