[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyung-il ] LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd.(462510)announced on the 13th that it is set to target the medical aesthetics market by integrating its laser medical device and biomaterial distribution businesses and further advancing its drug delivery system (DDS) technology. With the global skin booster market projected to grow at an average annual rate of over 13%, the company is expanding its business to target this sector.

LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd. is pursuing market entry based on laser medical aesthetics devices for hospitals and clinics. In June, the company applied for approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) for its new laser medical device, the “FX-7000M,” and plans to target the medical aesthetics market in hospitals and clinics once approval is granted. The company believes that as the skin booster market grows, not only the ingredients themselves but also the technology for delivering active ingredients to the skin is emerging as a key competitive factor.

Another notable feature is the company’s expansion beyond the sale of medical devices into the field of biomaterials. LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd. is securing a customer base and distribution network among hospitals and clinics through its laser devices and is expanding its business structure by integrating biomaterials such as ECM.

The company has also laid the groundwork for related businesses. Last year, LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd. signed a domestic exclusive distribution and strategic partnership agreement with Iretec Korea for acellular allogeneic dermal ECM products. In May of this year, it obtained a human tissue bank license from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, securing the foundation to handle and distribute human tissues within the scope of the license.

The growth of the skin booster market is driving LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd.’s business expansion. According to Grand View Research, a global market research firm, the global skin booster market is projected to grow from $1.5 billion (approximately 2 trillion won) in 2025 to $1.7 billion (approximately 2.3 trillion won) this year, and is expected to reach $4.1 billion (approximately 5.6 trillion won) by 2033. The projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2026 to 2033 is 13.1%. The Asia-Pacific region is identified as the market expected to experience the fastest growth.

As the market expands, the range of materials used in skin boosters is also diversifying. In the global market, hyaluronic acid (HA) accounts for the largest share, and various product lines—including exosomes—are expanding. In South Korea as well, products utilizing not only PN and PDRN but also human tissue-derived ECM are emerging.

As the range of material options expands, determining how to effectively utilize them in actual procedures is becoming increasingly important. This is because even with the same active ingredient, the treatment experience and scope of application can vary depending on the delivery method. Consequently, efforts to combine medical devices with biomaterials are continuing.

In response to these market changes, LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd. is advancing its laser-based drug delivery system (DDS) technology. The company is developing technologies to enhance delivery efficiency for a wide range of materials—from injectable to non-injectable products—within the approved scope of use for each product. The plan is to gradually expand the scope of application after completing the necessary regulatory approval procedures.

The ultimate goal is to establish a business model that integrates laser medical devices with biomaterials. The company envisions broadening its business portfolio in the medical aesthetics sector by combining entry into the hospital and clinic market through laser devices, expanding the distribution of ECM materials, and applying DDS technology.
