[Edaily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] Yang Hyun-suk, Chief Producer of YG Entertainment (YG), announced the second-half activity plans for the agency’s artists.

Early on the morning of the 14th, Chief Producer Yang posted a lengthy article on YG’s official blog detailing the activity plans for the girl group BABYMONSTER, the boy group TREASURE, and trainees preparing for their debut.
According to the post, BABYMONSTER will release the digital single “DESERVE” on the 23rd. They are scheduled to release a full-length album early next year.
Regarding the upcoming new song, Executive Producer Yang described it as “a slow track, but one with more intense energy than any song we’ve released so far.” He added, “I hope Baby Monster’s unique blend of delicate vocals and explosive singing ability will deeply move our fans.”
TREASURE will release the digital single “SHOCK” on the 2nd of next month. Yang described the new song as “a track featuring an intense hip-hop sound.” He also stated, “TREASURE is undergoing a major shift in its musical direction,” and added, “We ask for your high expectations and support as TREASURE enters the full-fledged second chapter of its activities, leading up to 2027, with this new song.”
He also shared news about a five-member boy group and a four-member girl group that have not yet debuted.
Yang stated, “Since they are very important artists who will lead YG’s future alongside TREASURE and BABYMONSTER, I am also doing my very best.” He continued, “Both groups are scheduled to record several demo tracks they’ve been preparing by the end of the year.”
Previously, in the YG Announcement video released last April, Executive Director Yang had mentioned September as the launch date for the new boy group, but their debut has been delayed compared to the original plan. Executive Director Yang said, “I expect the specific debut schedule to be finalized as soon as the title track is decided.”
Finally, he said, “By the end of the year, I will greet you again through a YG Announcement video with more diverse and exciting news,” and added, “I sincerely thank fans around the world who always believe in and wait for YG artists.”
