[Edaily Starin Choi Hee-jae Reporter] Director Lee Chang-dong’s new film, “Possible Love,” will be released worldwide on Netflix on the 6th of next month.

“Possible Love” tells the story of two couples—a laid-off worker and his wife, and a documentary director and her husband—who meet to produce a documentary and come face-to-face with each other’s different lives and hidden desires.

The main poster, released on the 15th, centers on Mi-ok (Jeon Do-yeon) gazing straight ahead, while Ho-seok (Seol Kyung-gu), Sang-woo (Jo In-sung), and Ye-ji (Jo Yeo-jeong) look in different directions, evoking a subtle tension among the four characters.

Viewers are drawn to the question of what emotions lie hidden behind Mi-ok’s enigmatic expression as she strokes the wedding ring on her left ring finger. Unlike Mi-ok, Ho-seok, Sang-woo, and Ye-ji appear as blurred silhouettes, hinting at the emotional ripples and turbulent inner worlds that will unfold among them following their encounter.

*Possible Love* achieved remarkable success, becoming the first Korean film to win the Grand Jury Prize (Silver Lion) at the Venice International Film Festival, the TIFF Everett Director’s Award at the Toronto International Film Festival’s Tribute Awards, and the Otter Award at the Mill Valley Film Festival.

Since his debut with *Green Fish* in 1997, director Lee Chang-dong has established himself as one of Korea’s leading auteur directors through films such as *Peppermint Candy*, *Oasis*, *Secret Sunshine*, *Poetry*, and *Burning*. His artistic merit has been consistently recognized at international film festivals, including the Best Director Award at the 2002 Venice Film Festival for *Oasis* and the Best Screenplay Award at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival for *Poetry*.
