[E-Daily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] Singer WOODZ is making a comeback with a new song. Following the resurgence of his hit song “Drowning” last year—which propelled him to the top of the music charts—and his continued upward momentum, including sold-out concerts at major venues, attention is now focused on how this new song will perform.

According to his agency, EDAM Entertainment, on the 15th, WOODZ will release his new digital single “Come into My World!” at 6:00 p.m. on the 20th via various online music platforms. This marks his first new release in seven months since he unveiled his first full-length album, “Archive. 1,” last March.
Last year, Woods was the artist who garnered the most attention in the music industry for his “reverse hit” phenomenon. With “Drowning,” a track from his mini-album “OO-LI” released in April 2023, he swept the top spots on major music charts nearly two years after its initial release. The catalyst for this resurgence was a video of Woods’ performance on the KBS 2TV “Immortal Songs” Armed Forces Day special in October 2024, while he was still serving in the military, which went viral online. “Drowning” consistently remained at the top of major music platform charts and achieved the remarkable feat of ranking No. 1 on the Circle Chart’s annual digital chart.
After completing his military service, Woods returned and accelerated his activities by releasing “Archive One,” his first full-length album in 13 years, last March. He wrote, composed, and produced every track on the album, which features 17 songs spanning various genres, including rock ballads, pop punk, jazz, and alternative R&B.
The tracks from the full-length album also performed well on the music charts. Immediately after its release, all tracks entered the Melon Hot 100 chart, and the title track “Human Extinction” peaked at No. 5 on that chart.

◇Expanding His Presence in the Live Performance Market Through a World Tour
Woods has also strengthened his presence in the live performance market. Starting with a concert held at the Inspire Arena in Incheon last March, he performed in Osaka, Tokyo, and Nagoya, Japan; Singapore; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Hong Kong; Manila, Philippines; Jakarta, Indonesia; Bangkok, Thailand; Taipei, Taiwan; Berlin and Frankfurt, Germany; London, UK; Paris, France; Melbourne and Sydney, Australia; São Paulo, Brazil; Mexico City, Mexico; and Los Angeles, San Jose, Irving, Miami Beach, St. Petersburg, Atlanta, and Chicago in the U.S., among 26 cities worldwide. The tour demonstrated strong ticket sales, with both days of the first concert in Incheon selling out completely.
On the 31st of this month and the 1st of next month, they will hold the world tour encore concert “Archive. 1: Completed” at the KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park, widely regarded as a “dream stage” for singers. Held at a venue with a capacity of 10,000 seats per show, tickets for both performances sold out immediately after general sales began.

This marks the first time WOODZ has held a solo concert at the KSPO DOME. It is significant not only because he has expanded his influence in the music market following the resurgence of “Drowning,” but also because he has proven his ability to draw large crowds at major venues. Attention now turns to his new song. All eyes are on whether WOODZ can build on the popularity of “Drowning” to add another hit to his repertoire.
Ahead of the new song’s release, Woods is in full swing preparing for his comeback by releasing a series of teaser content. In the concept photos released on the 14th, he showcased a bold visual transformation with a unique hairstyle, heavy eye makeup, and a suit. The performance teaser video released on the 15th features him performing dynamic group choreography with dancers against backdrops such as a desert and a cemetery. The choreography for the new song was created by Bata, the choreographer who leads the popular dance team We Dam Boys. The video included a snippet of the new track, blending intense sounds with Woods’ powerful vocals, further heightening fans’ anticipation for his comeback.
