Held under the theme “The Infinitely Expanding Content Economy,” “2026 Content Universe Korea” was organized as a forum to examine, all in one place, the changes, trends, and new business opportunities arising as a single piece of content expands into various industries and markets through intellectual property (IP) and fandom.

“2026 Content Universe Korea” runs for two days through the 17th. The event is co-hosted by Edaily and the Goyang International Expo Foundation, with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Gyeonggi Province, Goyang Special Self-Governing City, and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization participating as supporting organizations.
Under the theme “Content Economy,” this year’s event focuses on the content value chain—where creators’ ideas form fanbases, grow into IP (intellectual property) and brands, and expand into industries and regions. With creators, fan communities, IP, and content tourism as key pillars, domestic and international experts will participate to share new trends and real-world examples in the content industry—including changes in the platform environment, fan-based business models, IP expansion strategies, and regional growth driven by content. The event will also feature a variety of exhibition and hands-on programs, including a series of lectures by 24 domestic and international experts, a “Toy Story” pop-up store by The Walt Disney Company Korea, and a flea market hosted by popular influencers.
