Kim Mi-soo, Speaker of the Goyang Special Self-Governing City Council, said on the 16th at the opening ceremony of “2026 Content Universe Korea,” held at the Goyang Flower Exhibition Hall in Ilsan Lake Park, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, “Content is a core resource that connects technology and industry beyond culture and the arts.”

Referring to the opening ceremony performance that utilized AI art, Chairwoman Kim said, “Creating beautiful results through collaboration between AI and humans is the direction in which history will move forward.”
Chairwoman Kim expressed her hope that "'Content Universe Korea' will serve as a platform where domestic and international experts, companies, and creators can share experiences and ideas and collaborate to contribute to corporate growth and the revitalization of the local economy," adding, "I will continue to provide support by creating opportunities to discuss with Goyang Special City council members how to help the content industry take root."
“2026 Content Universe Korea” will be held for two days through October 17. Under the theme “The Infinitely Expanding Content Economy: Connecting Creators, IP, and Fandom,” the event explores the process by which a single piece of content is born from a creator’s hands, builds a fanbase, and expands into products, brands, and platforms based on intellectual property (IP). The event will feature a variety of exhibitions and hands-on programs, including a series of lectures by 24 domestic and international experts, a “Toy Story” pop-up store by The Walt Disney Company Korea, and a flea market hosted by popular influencers.
