SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION Integrates Building Operations Data… Expands Collaboration on AI Platform 'Bind'
Event Held for About 100 Representatives from the Commercial Real Estate Industry
Proposal for Integrating Facility, Energy, and Access Data
Pursuing Technology and Service Collaboration with Partners in 7 Sectors
[Edaily Reporter LEE DAWON ] SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION(028260) The construction division is set to expand its platform business by integrating data scattered across individual systems—such as facilities, energy, and access control—in commercial buildings. Centered on the building platform “Bynd,” the company plans to collaborate with external technology firms to enhance building operational efficiency and develop new business models. Kim Myung-seok, Executive Vice President and Head of the Housing Product Marketing Division at SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION’s Construction Division, delivers a presentation at the “SIGNAL 2026” Partners Day event held on the 20th at the Neuromeka Co., Ltd. headquarters in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. The event was organized under the theme of the artificial intelligence transformation (AX) of commercial buildings to discuss ways to integrate Bind with external solutions. SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION is working to build an open platform that integrates data from different systems—such as facilities, energy, access control, and space utilization—and applies it to building operations.
BIND is a platform that analyzes building operational status by connecting data generated from individual facilities and solutions.
SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION explained that by combining different types of data—such as electricity consumption and access logs—it is possible to identify space utilization patterns and energy usage trends that would be difficult to determine using individual systems alone. For example, while electricity consumption alone makes it difficult to determine where energy is being used, and access logs alone make it difficult to gauge actual space utilization, combining these two data sets allows for the identification of issues such as unnecessary vacant space occupancy or periods of energy waste.
The event featured discussions on the potential applications of building operations data and changes in office spaces. Yeo Kyung-sun, Executive Director at Master Investment Management, explained the impact of smart building operations data on asset value in a presentation titled “What Determines Real Estate Value?” Kang Jeong-gyu, Head of AI Strategy at Liner, presented on changes in office spaces in the era of Agent AI and the importance of collaboration among employees.
SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION also ran a program to expand technological collaboration with its partners. The event venue featured a “Partner Wall” covering seven areas: equipment and energy monitoring, facility and security operations, space design, seating and conference room management, office interior design, employee welfare, and eco-friendly and ESG management.
Participating companies discussed ways to integrate technologies and services from each sector into Bind. SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION plans to expand the range of services available to building owners, operators, and tenant companies by integrating external solutions.
In addition to Bind, SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION is pursuing service businesses that utilize buildings and spaces after construction, such as the residential platform “HomeNic,” the AI wellness solution “Wellpi,” and the senior living solution “Evering.”
Kim Myung-seok, Executive Vice President and Head of the Housing Product Marketing Division at SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION, stated, “Only when the perspectives of building owners, users, and solution providers align can a meaningful signal emerge.” He added, “We hope this event serves as an opportunity to jointly explore the next standards for spaces, and we will continue to expand an open ecosystem centered on BIND to create new spatial value and business opportunities.”
