[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] Artificial intelligence (AI) specialist CUBOX Co., Ltd(340810)is expanding its business into the healthcare and biotech sectors by launching an AI-based telemedicine platform in the Japanese market.

SECERN AI announced on the 22nd that it unveiled its AI telemedicine platform, “SEEU Health,” at the Japanese IT exhibition “Japan IT Week Autumn 2026,” which opened on the 21st, and launched it in the Japanese market.

SEEU Health is a telemedicine support platform that utilizes vision AI technology to measure patients’ vital signs and conduct AI-based medical interviews. It measures blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation in a contactless and non-invasive manner and is equipped with functionality to assess patients’ symptoms through voice conversation.

Patients can access the service via a PC or smartphone app without the need for separate medical devices. The medical history collected by the AI and the vital sign measurement results are transmitted to the electronic medical record (EMR) system, allowing medical staff to use this information to determine the course of treatment, such as proceeding with a telemedicine consultation or requesting an in-person visit.

In existing telemedicine services, healthcare providers faced the burden of having to directly verify and document patients’ symptoms. SECERN AI aims to reduce this workload through AI-powered medical interviews and biosignal measurements, while enhancing usability for elderly patients via a voice-based interface.

The company selected Japan as its first launch market based on the growing demand for home healthcare and chronic disease management driven by an aging population, as well as the government’s healthcare digital transformation (DX) policies. Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is implementing policies aimed at achieving a 100% adoption rate of electronic medical records by 2030.

SECERN AI also showcased security solutions for medical institutions at this exhibition. These include “SEEU ON IdP,” a multi-factor authentication (MFA) solution based on facial recognition, and “SEEU ON,” which continuously verifies a user’s authentication status after login.

SEEU ON provides a continuous authentication feature that locks the screen if a security threat is detected during use. The company’s strategy is to supply both telemedicine platforms and security solutions in line with the trend toward strengthening information security at Japanese medical institutions.

According to market research firm IMARC Group, the Japanese digital healthcare market is projected to grow at an average annual rate of 6.9%, expanding from approximately $34.2 billion (about 45 trillion won) this year to approximately $58.3 billion (about 77 trillion won) by 2034. SECERN AI is targeting the telemedicine and medical software sectors as its primary focus areas within this market.

The company is also preparing to enter the domestic market. It plans to launch SEEU Health in Korea this December to coincide with the implementation of amendments to the Medical Service Act regarding telemedicine, and intends to expand its business scope to global markets in the future.

Nam Un-sung, CEO of SECERN AI, stated, “Although the Japanese telemedicine market has an established institutional foundation, it is a market with significant demand for new technologies and substantial growth potential due to the heavy workload on medical staff and limited access for elderly patients.” He added, “SEEU Health and our facial recognition-based security solutions will serve as the most powerful alternatives, optimized for Japan’s healthcare digital transformation (DX) policies.”
