[Edaily Reporter YUN GI BACK ] Rapper Yang Hong-won, who has been embroiled in allegations of an extramarital affair just five days after his wedding, has sparked controversy by performing a song on stage that mentions his wife, Won Hyun-ju’s name. As the back-and-forth over the truth of the allegations continues, Won Hyun-ju has deleted all her social media posts, drawing attention to the couple’s current situation.

Yang Hong-won took the stage at the “2026 Ska Festival: Super Swag” held at the KBS Arena in Seoul on the 24th. While performing his song “ROSE” that day, he sang the lyrics, “Come back to me, Hyun-ju.” A video of the performance capturing this moment has gone viral across online communities and social media.
These lyrics were not newly added in response to the recent controversy. “ROSE” is reportedly a song Yang Hong-won wrote after breaking up with Won Hyun-ju while they were dating. However, with rumors about his private life surfacing immediately after their marriage, the lyrics mentioning his wife’s name have once again drawn attention.
Yang Hong-won married former model Won Hyun-ju on the 18th after an eight-year relationship. The couple welcomed a daughter in November 2024 and have been sharing their family life through the YouTube channel “Yang Hong-won’s Parenting Diary.”
However, controversy erupted on the 23rd—just five days after the wedding—when allegations surfaced that Yang Hong-won had visited a motel with another woman. A man claiming to be an acquaintance of Yang Hong-won posted related photos, recorded phone calls, and messages on social media, raising suspicions of an extramarital affair.
In response, his agency, AP Alchemy, acknowledged that he had visited the motel with the woman but refuted the claims, stating there was no inappropriate relationship. The agency explained that Yang Hong-won had gone to the motel to sleep after drinking and that there was absolutely no romantic interaction with the woman.
The agency also claimed that the accuser had blackmailed Yang Hong-won and the woman, demanding money, and that when his demands were not met, he spread false information. Yang Hong-won and the woman have each filed criminal complaints against the accuser for extortion, violation of the Anti-Stalking Act, and defamation through the dissemination of false information.
The woman who accompanied Yang Hong-won to the motel also came forward with her own explanation. Through social media, she claimed that she did not know Yang Hong-won prior to this incident and that, while at the motel, they simply slept in separate rooms and nothing inappropriate occurred. She stated that she, too, had received demands for money and threats from the accuser and has taken legal action.
Amid this, changes were also noticed on Won Hyun-ju’s social media. Following the mutual unfollowing of Yang Hong-won on Instagram, Won Hyun-ju deleted all her existing posts. It is also reported that she removed her profile picture. However, Won Hyun-ju has not issued a separate statement regarding the reason for deleting the posts or the allegations surrounding her husband.
The fallout from the controversy has also spread to the YouTube channel that has been sharing the family’s daily life. The production team of “Yang Hong-won’s Parenting Diary,” which has approximately 540,000 subscribers, issued a notice on the 24th stating, “We are currently verifying the facts regarding this matter,” and added, “While this verification is underway, we plan to temporarily restrict comments to protect the cast members, and we ask for your understanding.”
As his agency denies the allegations of an extramarital affair and takes legal action, the fallout from the controversy continues to unfold, with attention focused on Yang Hong-won’s performance videos, changes to Won Hyun-ju’s social media activity, and the comment restrictions on the family’s YouTube channel.
