[E-Daily Reporter YUN GI BACK ] The movie “Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub” (Tazza 4) has ranked seventh in box office earnings among Korean films released this year. It has drawn attention for maintaining its box office success for over a month, fueled by word-of-mouth from audiences, despite the limitation of its “No Minors Allowed” rating.

According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network on the 25th, “Tazza 4” had drawn 1,988,714 viewers as of that morning, placing it seventh on the box office chart for Korean films released this year. This achievement came approximately one month after its release on September 23.
Notably, it has drawn the largest audience among films rated “No Minors Allowed” released this year. “Tazza 4” is the only film with this rating to make it into the top 10 highest-grossing Korean films of the year. This is seen as proof of its box office competitiveness despite its restricted viewing age.
Positive audience reactions are behind its long-running success. Even in its fifth week of release, it maintains a 93% Golden Egg Index—CGV’s audience satisfaction metric—demonstrating consistent viewer satisfaction. It is believed that the initial interest in the film has translated into word-of-mouth, further fueling its box office performance.
“Tazza 4” brings the final chapter of the “Tazza” series—based on the comic by author Heo Young-man—to the big screen. It depicts a revenge drama in which Jang Tae-young (played by Byun Yo-han), who has made a fortune in the online casino business, reunites with his namesake friend Park Tae-young (played by Noh Jae-won)—the man who took everything from him—on the global gambling circuit. Directed by Choi Guk-hee, the film stars Jo Woo-jin, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Ayaka Miyoshi.
