[Edaily Reporter NA EUN-KYUNG ] Inventage Lab Inc.(389470)unveiled the results of preclinical studies on its subcutaneous injection formulation platform for ultra-high-concentration biopharmaceuticals at a drug delivery conference held in the United States.

Inventage Lab Inc. announced on the 30th that it presented key research findings on its ultra-high-concentration biopharmaceutical subcutaneous injection formulation platform, “IVL-BioFluidic,” at “PODD 2026” held in Boston, U.S.

In its presentation on the 29th (local time), Inventage Lab Inc. disclosed data evaluating the structure and function of antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) following particle formation, as well as their pharmacokinetics (PK) after subcutaneous administration, stability, and the ease of injection of high-concentration suspensions.

The highlight of this presentation was the preclinical pharmacokinetic data confirming the absorption profile of particulate biopharmaceuticals in vivo. Inventage Lab Inc. successfully applied its IVL-Biofluidic technology to create particulate formulations of three antibody drugs—rituximab, trastuzumab, and bevacizumab—as well as the ADC trastuzumab deruxtecan.

According to the company, analysis of the particulate drugs after redissolution revealed no significant differences in structural or functional characteristics compared to the conventional control drugs, and the drugs’ stability and functionality were maintained. In tests where the particulate formulations were prepared as suspensions and administered subcutaneously to animals via a 25-gauge (G) needle, the drugs’ absorption and distribution in the body also showed patterns similar to those of the control drugs.

IVL-Biofluidic is a platform developed by Inventage Lab Inc. that extends the microfluidic technology—which the company has utilized in the development of long-acting injectables—to subcutaneous injection formulations for antibody drugs. It is designed to uniformly control the size of drug particles using microfluidic technology, enabling administration via a hypodermic needle even in high-concentration formulations.

Inventage Lab Inc. is also pursuing patents for this technology. The company has been conducting patent and freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses since 2024 and recently completed an international patent application (PCT). The company plans to build a patent portfolio that protects both the microfluidic-based manufacturing method and the formulation utilizing uniform particle characteristics.

The company is also expanding its collaborations with global pharmaceutical companies. Since unveiling its platform, Inventage Lab Inc. has signed a total of six Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) with domestic and international partners and is evaluating the feasibility of applying its technology. At this year’s PODD, the company is discussing candidate compound evaluations and potential follow-up collaborations with global pharmaceutical companies.

An Inventage Lab Inc. representative stated, “In this presentation, we presented key data spanning from the particle formation of antibodies and ADCs to their delivery within the body following subcutaneous administration,” adding, “Based on the microfluidic core technology, manufacturing experience, and proprietary patent strategy accumulated during the clinical development process, we will advance collaborative research with partners and accelerate discussions on global joint development and technology transfer.”
