[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh Seok ] L&C Bio ( L&C BIO(290650)), a company specializing in human tissues, is accelerating preparations for the official launch of “Re2O,” an extracellular matrix (ECM) graft derived from human dermis, in the Thai market. (Photo courtesy of L&C BIO) L&C BIO announced on the 30th that it had obtained formal Class 4 medical device approval—the highest classification—from the Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA) for its “Re2O” and “Re2O Fine” products last September. The company is currently preparing for an official launch symposium and is significantly strengthening academic exchanges and product training for local medical professionals, while also establishing a supply chain through collaboration with local distribution partners. In connection with this, L&C BIO participated in the “36th Joint Annual Scientific Conference of the Thai Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Thai Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ThPRS & ThSAPS 2026),” held from the 28th to the 30th at the Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ratchaprao in Bangkok, Thailand. The company explained that it attracted significant attention from local medical professionals at the event by presenting the unique characteristics of its human tissue-based materials and key considerations for their clinical application. Co-hosted by the Thai Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ThPRS) and the Thai Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ThSAPS), this international conference brought together experts in aesthetic, reconstructive, and craniofacial surgery from across the Asia-Pacific region to share cutting-edge surgical techniques and clinical data. “Rituo” is a human dermal-derived ECM graft made by processing acellular allogeneic dermis (hADM)—derived from donated human skin with all cellular components completely removed—into a microparticle form. It contains large amounts of various extracellular matrix (ECM) components—such as collagen and elastin, which form the core structure of the skin’s dermis—and thus differs from existing hyaluronic acid (HA) or polynucleotide (PN)-based skin boosters in terms of raw material composition and manufacturing process. It is assessed that through this presentation, L&C BIO successfully impressed upon local plastic surgeons the academic concepts and clinical utility of human dermal-derived ECM. Immediately following the lecture, local medical professionals posed a series of questions regarding specific procedural techniques and product specifications for human tissue-based implants. Based on this high level of local interest and initial demand, the company plans to swiftly move forward with specialized training programs and supply chain negotiations. An L&C BIO official emphasized, “Having demonstrated the superiority of human tissue-derived skin ECM at the academic conference, we will now finalize the expansion of our local network and the establishment of a stable distribution channel to accelerate our efforts to secure a leading position in Thailand’s aesthetic medicine market.”
