The girl group UNCHILD has returned after a seven-month hiatus. At 4 p.m. on the 5th, at the NOL Theater in Hapjeong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, the group held a media showcase for their second digital single, “TiNG TiNG.” They emphasized, “We’ve fully immersed ourselves in the new song and performance based on the ‘Poison Frog’ concept,” adding, “We’ll show you our new personality and charm.”
Since their debut, UNCHILD has featured the “rebellious frog” as their symbol, infusing their music and various content with a whimsical yet unique sensibility. This new release presents a universe where strange phenomena occur throughout reality due to bugs created by the “poisonous frogs,” and the UNCHILD members step up as “eccentric heroes” to resolve them.
The single includes the title track “Ting Ting” and the B-side “Light” (TRICKY GRLS). Rado participated in the composition of both tracks.
The title track “Ting Ting” is a French house track centered on the theme of a bold attitude—moving forward in one’s own way without hesitation, even when faced with new challenges and obstacles. Repetitive loops and short, staccato electronic sounds create a unique atmosphere.
Ako emphasized, “When we debuted, we focused on showing you our energetic and cool side. This time, to show you a side that’s as lively and bubbly as our characters, we practiced our facial expressions really hard.”

The highlight of the title track’s music video is the scene where the Unchild members battle a giant “bug frog.” Na Ha-eun said, “I’m satisfied because the music video turned out to be more cinematic and polished than I expected.”
Unchild is a rookie group launched last April by High Up Entertainment—led by music producer Rado—approximately six years after the debut of the girl group STAYC. The group garnered particular anticipation as it features member Na Ha-eun, born in 2009, who earned the nickname “dance prodigy” through past appearances on SBS variety shows like “Star King” and the “2018 Melon Music Awards.” This is why K-pop fans referred to the group as the “Na Ha-eun girl group” even before their debut.
Originally, the group had planned to release this single on September 2 but postponed their comeback. Since this announcement was made abruptly just one week before the comeback, and no clear reason or future schedule was provided, some fans voiced their concerns.
Lee Bon stated, “Although we were disappointed, we continued to work hard with the mindset that showing our best side to our fans was our top priority.” Ako expressed her gratitude, saying, “It was a difficult comeback,” and added, “I’m deeply grateful to everyone who helped us.”
Na Ha-eun said, “All I could think about was showing you the ‘Ting Ting’ performance as soon as possible,” adding, “I’m incredibly excited to finally be able to release ‘Ting Ting’ to the world.” She continued, “All the members practiced hard to master the locking moves included in the dance break, so I hope you’ll pay close attention to them.”

Hiki, who had temporarily suspended activities due to health issues, was also absent from the production of this new album.
Park Ye-eun said, “We’re always cheering for Hiki and keeping in touch with her,” adding, “We prepared for this comeback believing that showing our best efforts in our respective roles would be a source of strength for Hiki.”
All tracks from the single and the music video for the title track will be released at 6 p.m. today via various online music platforms. The track “Light” is a deep house song that explores the theme of a colorful inner world that shifts into new hues moment by moment, reflecting the many things one loves and is curious about.
The members said, “Our goal for this comeback is to get more people interested in Unchild,” and added, “We hope you’ll listen to our songs a lot.”
