Choi Woo-shik’s agency, Fable Company, stated, “We would like to address the spread of false information regarding actor Choi Woo-shik,” adding, “Indiscriminately posting untrue content or maliciously distorting and exaggerating it to create and spread rumors constitutes a clear illegal act that seriously infringes upon the actor’s reputation and rights.”

They continued, “We are continuously monitoring the relevant posts and the channels through which they are being disseminated, and we are collecting related evidence,” emphasizing, “We plan to take legal action against anyone who creates, disseminates, reproduces, or spreads false information in this regard.”

Previously, an internet user identified as “A,” who claimed to be a flight attendant, alleged on social media that she had been subjected to abuse of power by Choi Woo-shik. Although the claim spread through online communities, its veracity has not been confirmed.

Fable Company stated, “We plan to respond with the same principles to the dissemination of false information, malicious slander, and defamation directed not only at actor Choi Woo-shik but also at all actors under our agency,” adding, “We urge the public to refrain from the indiscriminate spread of false information, and we will continue to strive to protect the rights and interests of our actors.”

Choi Woo-shik is set to appear in the tvN drama “Whale Star,” scheduled to air next year.
