In the tvN 20th-anniversary special Saturday-Sunday drama *100 Days of Lies*, airing on the 7th, Lee Ga-kyung (played by Kim Yoo-jung), Kim Tae-woong/Hideo Sato (played by Park Jin-young), Yoo So-ran (played by Kim Hyun-joo), Yoo Philip (played by Lee Mu-saeng), and Shinichi Sato (played by Jin Seon-kyu) gathered for the opening ceremony of the Japanese Government-General of Korea’s Gas Pipeline.

The previous episode depicted the diverging paths of Yoo So-ran and Sato Shinichi, who were each seeking different opportunities ahead of the opening ceremony for the Governor-General’s Office’s Ki-song Hall. The Governor-General (played by Kim Seung-rak) ordered the postponement of the Gas Pipeline Opening Ceremony, citing Dr. Yoon Bong-gil’s bombing attack at Honggu Park during the Emperor’s Birthday celebrations; however, Sato Shinichi sought to turn the crisis into an opportunity by hosting a commemorative banquet to demonstrate the continued strength of the Japanese Government-General of Korea.

In response, Yoo So-ran and Yoo Philip did not let this renewed opportunity for their operation slip away. The Third Operation of the Patriotic Corps was to detonate a bomb at the commemorative banquet for the Gison Hall opening ceremony. Lee Ga-kyung hid the bomb—smuggled in by Kim Myeong-nam (played by Park Jeong-yeon)—inside the Governor-General’s Office, completing all preparations for the operation.

Photos released on the 7th show Yoo So-ran and Yoo Philip entering the Japanese Government-General of Korea for the first time. Invited as a married couple, the two walk arm in arm toward the banquet hall. Despite their composed expressions and calm demeanor, a subtle sense of wariness lingers.

Attention is drawn to the fact that the seat next to Sato Shinichi, who is greeting the couple, is occupied by Lee Ga-kyung rather than Kim Tae-woong. Behind Sato Shinichi’s smile, which exudes composure and confidence, the glances exchanged by the three—who seem to be hiding their confusion and silently signaling to one another—heighten the tension. With Kim Tae-woong, who appeared late for unknown reasons, joining them, curiosity mounts regarding the fate of the five people gathered together once again.

Lee Ga-kyung secures an opportunity to go to the U.S. sooner than expected. However, her joy at fulfilling a long-held dream is short-lived, as mixed emotions surface as she prepares to say goodbye to Kim Tae-woong. Then, on the day of the Gisoong-gwan opening ceremony—where Lee Ga-kyung is set to carry out her final mission as a spy under the alias “Geum Seo-hee”—Yoo So-ran and the members of the National Salvation Corps devise a bomb plot to shake the Japanese Government-General of Korea to its core and launch their operation.

The production team of “100 Days of Lies” stated, “The National Salvation Corps, having overcome two failed attempts to assassinate Sato Shinichi, is launching a third operation with even greater boldness. As the scale of the operation expands, the sense of crisis and tension will reach its peak.”

“100 Days of Lies” is a 100-day espionage romance that unfolds when Gyeongseong’s top pickpocket—turned-informant—and an elite interpreter from the Japanese Government-General of Korea meet in the heart of the enemy’s territory. Episode 8, which aired on the 1st, recorded a nationwide household viewership rating of 9.8%.

“100 Days of Lies” airs on the 7th at 9:10 p.m.
