[Edaily Reporter YUN GI BACK ] The groups Hearts2Hearts, KickFlip, and RIIZE took home the “Best Music” trophy at the “2026 Korea Grand Music Awards” (2026 KGMA).

Hearts2Hearts, KickFlip, and RIIZE were named winners in the “Best Music” category during “Music Day,” the second day of the “2026 KGMA,” held on the 8th at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul.
Hearts to Hearts had a stellar year, shaking up global music charts with their song “Rude,” released earlier this year. Following their “Best Music” win, Hearts to Hearts also took home the previously announced “Global Hot Star Award,” securing two awards. Hearts to Hearts stated, “Thank you for this meaningful award. Receiving the Best Music Award feels meaningful and wonderful, as it seems our music has been recognized,” they said, adding, “We will continue to sing our hearts out so that Hearts to Hearts’ music can have a positive impact on many people.”

Kickflip demonstrated rapid growth by topping three major domestic music charts and reaching the top spot on terrestrial music shows. Kickflip said, “We consider this award a gift from our fans,” adding, “We’d like to express our gratitude.”
RISE proved their status as a leading force in K-pop by recording their fourth million-seller since their debut. RISE said, “We’re grateful to the SM family for always helping us put on great performances,” adding, “Our team’s goal is to consistently create and share good music with you. Please look forward to our second full-length album next year. We’ll repay your support in a big way.” They then shouted, “Let’s stay together for a long time, Breeze! We love you!” showcasing their overflowing love for their fans.

The ‘KGMA’ is an awards ceremony newly established in 2024 by Ilgan Sports (Edaily M)—which celebrated its 57th anniversary this year—to present a new paradigm for the South Korean pop music industry. Now in its third year, this year’s ceremony was hosted by Ilgan Sports and co-organized by the KGMA Organizing Committee and Creatorling.
On the second day, “Music Day,” NEXZ, RISE, Minho, Park Ji-hyun, BILLIE, Ahop, Alpha Drive One, A.N., ATEEZ, Wayzone V, Yuna, ITZY, Choi Ye-na, Kiss of Life, Kiki, Kickflip, Touched, TOURS, and Hearts to Hearts will take the stage. Shenu from Shenu X Hyungwon will be absent due to health reasons, and Hyungwon along with some other members of MONSTA X will attend in his place. IVE’s Liz and actor Kim Jae-won will serve as MCs.
The “KGMA” digital and physical sales data is provided by Hanteo Chart, Genie Music, FLO, and Bugs, while the official fan vote will be conducted via the Kugung app. The event will be broadcast live on ENA. In Japan, it will be streamed live on Hulu Japan, and globally (excluding Japan and China), it will be streamed live on TikTok Live.
