BC World Pharmaceutical announced on the 2nd that it recently held a 20th-anniversary ceremony to share the company’s growth journey and future strategies. The event was held simultaneously online and offline, with employees in attendance taking time to reflect on the achievements of the past 20 years.

Founded in 2006, BC World Pharmaceutical has grown into an R&D-focused pharmaceutical company. The company has been certified as an innovative pharmaceutical company five consecutive times and has expanded its growth foundation through the establishment of BC World Healthcare, the construction of a global production facility in Yeoju, and the relocation to a new headquarters in Pangyo.

In the production sector, the company has strengthened its competitiveness by leveraging its Yeoju production facility and the country’s only dedicated antibiotic manufacturing plant. It has also expanded its business base by broadening contract manufacturing (CMO) partnerships with major domestic pharmaceutical companies such as LG Chem, Hanmi Pharmaceutical, and Chong Kun Dang.

In sales and business development, the company has focused on expanding its presence in the tertiary hospital market and strengthening its product portfolio. It has also expanded its in-licensing business through collaborations with global companies such as Grünenthal (Germany), ALK (Denmark), and Grena (UK). In 2020, the company received the “5 Million Dollar Export Tower” award, recognizing its global business capabilities.

In the R&D sector, the company launched Telbaro and Subaro tablets based on its orally disintegrating tablet (ODT) platform technology and recently obtained marketing authorization for Ambaro tablets. It is also advancing the development of next-generation pipelines centered on its long-acting injectable (LAI) platform.

In his commemorative address, Hong Seong-han, CEO of BC World Pharmaceutical, expressed his gratitude, stating, “BC World exists today thanks to the dedication of our employees, who have worked tirelessly for the past 20 years.”

He continued, “Quality, Compliance, and Integrity are the very reasons for our existence, and we are proud to say we have reached the highest standards in the industry,” emphasizing that “the next 10 years will be an era of qualitative growth.”

Meanwhile, the event also featured various award ceremonies, including commendations for long-service employees, the Innovation Leadership Award, and the Excellence in Performance Award.
