KNS announced on the 4th that its Vietnam subsidiary has signed a contract with a global company, S, to supply automated guided vehicles (AGVs). Under the contract, KNS Vietnam will supply industrial AGVs through a contract manufacturing arrangement.
KNS Vietnam serves as the company’s global robotics hub, producing and selling various advanced industrial automation equipment, robot foundry services, and autonomous robots. The company explained that it is rapidly expanding its business capabilities, particularly in the robot foundry service sector.
Previously, the Vietnam subsidiary secured a long-term supply contract with Company P, a Japanese manufacturer specializing in pneumatic and robotic automation components, after being recognized for its quality and production capabilities. To date, the company has supplied over 400 industrial robots to Company P, and this marks its first order from Company S.
Driven by growing local demand for automation, the Vietnam subsidiary’s performance is also growing rapidly. In the first quarter of this year, the Vietnam subsidiary saw sales increase by 65.7% year-over-year, driven by diversification of local clients and expanded supply of robotic foundry solutions, and it returned to profitability.
The company expects this order from Company S to further accelerate the growth of its Vietnam subsidiary. Given that many major global conglomerates have established production bases in Vietnam, the company explains that this reference will expand opportunities for additional orders in the industrial automation equipment and robot foundry sectors.
A KNS official stated, “By securing orders from Company S following those from Japanese Company P, we have demonstrated that our Vietnam subsidiary’s robot foundry capabilities meet the standards required by top-tier global companies.” The official added, “We will do our utmost to strengthen our global robotics business foundation with our Vietnam subsidiary at its core and expand related operations.”
