With the recent change allowing construction sites to allocate funds for worker health monitoring under industrial safety and health management expenses, the on-site adoption of HealthID is also drawing attention.
HealthID is a smart healthcare solution that uses facial recognition to measure workers’ biometric signals and detect signs of health abnormalities. By checking workers’ health status before work begins, it can identify risks of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases, signs of high-risk conditions, and the likelihood of workplace accidents in advance.
The construction industry is considered a high-risk sector for health issues due to a combination of factors, including an increasing proportion of older workers, extreme heat and cold, and long working hours. In particular, as the importance of preventive management for cardiovascular diseases grows, there is a rising demand for on-site health monitoring.
HealthID utilizes camera-based, non-contact biosignal analysis technology, enabling measurements without the need for separate wearable devices. Measurements are completed in approximately 15 seconds simply by having the worker look at the camera, enhancing user convenience and operational efficiency.
Furthermore, by utilizing technology certified as a Class 2 digital medical device, it has secured the reliability required for deployment at construction sites.
Conventional contact-type blood pressure monitors pose significant hygiene management challenges as multiple workers share the equipment, and they have limitations such as measurement time and potential variations in results depending on the user’s skill level. In contrast, HealthID is designed to reduce hygiene issues and improve measurement reliability through its non-contact method and face recognition-based measurement.
The company expects that, as the costs can now be covered by industrial safety and health management budgets, the financial burden on construction firms will be alleviated, and demand for health management solutions focused on accident prevention will expand.
