IL Secures 430,000 Humanoid Operation Data Points

Cumulative operating time exceeds 2,389 hours Accumulation of Data on Work, Mobility, Battery Life, and Disabilities Aiming to Secure Over 5 Million Data Points by Year-End

[Edaily Reporter Shin Young-bin] Full-stack future mobility platform company #IL is accelerating the development of a physical AI platform based on humanoid robot operation data.

IL announced on the 5th that it has secured a cumulative operating time of 2,389 hours and 437,403 data points through the operation of its humanoid robot, ‘ILBOT’.

This data was accumulated through the operation of humanoids in actual industrial settings. It includes task execution data, movement path data, battery charge/discharge data, and fault response and recovery data.

Specifically, this includes 210,432 task execution records, 210,432 movement path records, 14,352 battery charge/discharge records, and 2,187 failure/recovery records.

Based on this data, IL plans to advance its humanoid operation AI technologies, including task prediction algorithms, autonomous path optimization, energy efficiency improvements, and automated fault response.

IL plans to increase its cumulative data volume to over 5 million records by the end of the year and to build a humanoid operation AI and automation platform optimized for industrial sites.

The acquired data will be utilized not only to enhance task execution capabilities but also to improve autonomous navigation, energy management, task success rates, and to advance fault prediction and response technologies. It is also scheduled to be applied to the development of customized physical AI models for specific industries.

Following the recent signing of an initial supply contract for humanoids, IL has also successfully secured approximately 17 billion won in strategic investment. The company plans to allocate the funds toward expanding humanoid supply, building data acquisition infrastructure, and advancing its AI-based operational platform.

An IL official stated, “In the era of Physical AI, the data accumulated in actual industrial settings—rather than the robot hardware itself—is the key asset that determines long-term competitiveness,” adding, “We plan to secure competitiveness in Physical AI platforms centered on industrial sites.”
